VICTORY - WILD OATS XI RACES INTO HISTORY
To win Line Honours in the Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race is a test of endurance for both the yacht and its crew. This year Wild Oats XI made history by becoming the first yacht ever to win the title for the fourth consecutive time. A feat unmatched since the race began 64 years ago.
The pressure was on going into the race but after a tough campaign, four years in the making the Wild Oats team proved their training, determination and perseverance paid off with a well deserved win.
After the race, Mark Richards commented. “It was a hard fought race and a great achievement by the team. It takes a lot to put this sought of campaign together and to achieve this record is a great honour.”
Mark applies the same dedication in the construction of his range of Palm Beach Motor Yachts. “I’m looking forward to the coming year and focus on building boats for my clients to enjoy”.
